glorification of craftsmanship, process
In the development of a product so many aspects of the initial prototype are lost in mass production. I am interested in the journey or process to make something, specifically the glorification of bicycle craftsmanship. This is an exploration in, honest manufacturing, showcasing the depth of assembly, and provocative skeletal aesthetics.

Simond Chamonix Spider Quickdraw
I've been trying to get some modeling practice in on the weekends. Here's a Simond Chamonix Spider Carabiner assembled in quickdraw spec. I originally bought this carabiner, because it challenged a lot of the standards in basic carabiner design. Having modeled it now, I respect its design even more so. This piece posesses an extensive amount of aluminum bending and machining knowlege. Impressive.
